Artistic and highly decorative glass is something that Prentice Glass are proud that we are beginning to provide more frequently. We have just been making some new bespoke glass tiles, watch this space to see the end result!
Recently completed another specialist crane job. Luckily we had the nice weather when the works went ahead. If you need any high level or specialist glazing done, please do not hesitate to email john@prenticeglass.co.uk
I would like to congratulate Julie, one of the two Directors at Prentice Glass, for organising a raffle for the charity Help for Heroes. Her raffle was a huge success and she now has the pleasure of sending them a cheque for the sum of £355.00
Well done and thank you to all those who took part in supporting such a worth while cause!

Have just made some bespoke lamianted glass samples. They are made with two layers of 6mm Low Iron glass and laminated together with decorative paper in between.
The fourth generation of the Prentice Family, Emmie and Charlie have been asking current Managers Ross and Jo to take part in this years Sport relief Mile.
All four are taking on 3 miles at The Nonsuch Park Mile for Sport Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. They will even get Ross off the Sofa, so Jo, Ross, charlie and Emmie will all be raising money.
Which is where you come in… We really need your help to beat their fundraising target! And since you’re already here, looking so kind and generous, I’m very much hoping you’ll sponsor them now.
Thank you for all your support – and feel free to give yourself a big pat on the back!
We will get them to update you all with pictures when we have done it.
So please take a few minutes to click on the website below and make your very kind donation

Prentice Glass Limited appear to be one of very few companies become regular installers of structural glass. This photo here shows another shop front installations incorporating structural calculations, structural steel and glass. Not only do you need to meet high standard specifications, the glazing of these products also requires skilled labour and specialist lifting equipment as shown below.
For the first time Prentice Glass has used an external specialist company for their Manual Handling training. Previously all training on manual handling was done in house, it is another step to show Prentice Glass continued commitment to health and safety.
Today Prentice Glass also became an official member to The Glazing Ombudsman to further improve Customer Care.
The Glazing Ombudsman (TGO) is an independent Not for Profit organisation for resolving disputes between Consumers and our Registered Businesses.
TGO offer real consumer protection for homeowners, with a straightforward Ombudsman scheme that provides a fair and ‘hassle- free’ means of redress if things go wrong. TGO Members gain a transparent, affordable and impartial scheme that does not restrict them to a particular insurance company.
Key Benefits:
• A free service for customers of TGO members
• Total impartiality for both installers and consumers
• Regular updates throughout a simple transparent process
• No lawyers or face to face meetings required, saving both parties time and money
• Ombudsman judgements are legally binding on the installers
• An efficient process designed to avoid escalating disputes
• Consumers still retain their full legal rights.
